Billing

Hourly rates for the panelists: $650 per hour. Rate applies to preparation and hearing time. 3 hour minimum for all matters.

Administration fee: $300 per party

Attorney Responsibility: For all arbitrations and mediations, the person who contacts AMC, whether an individual or attorney on behalf of a private client, entity or institutional litigant (insurance company, governmental entity, company or business), and verbally contracts for services is responsible for all fees. Typically, it is attorneys and/or law firms that contact AMC and arrange for our services. Accordingly, the attorney and law firm or unrepresented individual agree to be responsible for payment.

Arbitrations: Advance payment of all fees (calculated at 8 hours per day for each day held and scheduled for the arbitration) is required before the arbitration hearing. Whether scheduled for 1 day or multiple days, the entire amount, based on 8 hours per day, is due upon receipt of the billing estimate. Upon completion of the arbitration hearing and time required for the arbitrator to review, evaluate evidence and prepare an award/decision, a final invoice will be sent to each side. Any advance funds will be credited against this final invoice. Any balance due must be paid in full by all parties before the decision of the arbitrator is transmitted to the parties and counsel.

Mediations: Once a matter is scheduled and confirmed for mediation, a billing estimate for the hours reserved (one-half or full day) will be sent to each side. Advance payment of the billing estimate is required and due upon receipt. Upon completion of the mediation, a final invoice will be sent to the responsible party (if one side agreed to pay the entire cost) or parties for the total fees due, less a credit for any advance deposits received. This final invoice is also due upon receipt.
